Is Baby Blount a boy or girl???

Watch the video first!!!

My amazing husband put this neat video together for our little baby girl. I think she already has him wrapped around her finger...what do you think? We had a great doctor's visit yesterday. Everything looks perfect and right on track. We absolutely loved seeing her on the screen and watch her move all around. They did say my amniotic fluid was in the normal range, but high, so they want to do another ultrasound next month when we go back, just to check, which is fine with me!!! We can't wait to see her again.

3 Years!

Three years ago today I suckered the most wonderful man into marrying me and becoming my husband. I can definitely say it's been the best 3 years of my life and I'm so blessed to have found a love that I know most people never get to experience! God has been so good to us and I can't wait to see what He has planned for us over the next 60 years as we grow old together!

These are the flowers Ryan sent to me at work today! So sweet...
He also took me out to dinner to Benne's Steakhouse and Piano bar (a place we've been wanting to go for a while.) It was super nice & we had a wonderful dinner. The steak was so huge that I couldn't even eat half of it! I just happened to have my camera so I had to take a picture of it.

Thank you Ryan for a wonderful 3rd anniversary!

You're the BEST and I love you with all of my heart!

One Week to Go!

Next Friday is the big day when we find out if baby Blount is a boy or girl! We are very anxiously awaiting...I probably won't be able to sleep at all on Thursday night! A lot of people have asked what I think the baby is and honestly I have no clue, no intuition at all but I did want to see what you guys think or hope it might be. I don't know if these facts will help you at all but maybe they will. 1) I feel like I eat all the stinkin' time but haven't really had any cravings to speak of. 2) Baby's heartbeat is usually in the 150's but this past week it's been in the 140's so for those of you who say you can tell by the heartbeat then let me know what you think! 3)Baby is definitely a mover!! It's one thing to feel that baby moving inside me but last night Ryan and I got to see the baby moving! It was so neat! We were sitting on the couch after supper and I could feel it moving so I told Ryan where the baby was so he could feel it too and as I was lifting up my shirt a little so he could feel it, we saw baby move across my belly! We both looked at each other like, "Did you see that!" And then we just sat there laughing in awe. I know, I know we're nerds but we are just so fascinated with our little miracle! Thank you God for blessing our lives so richly!

Let us know what you think.....

Hope you all have a safe, wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Yard Sale

Our house in full bloom! I love spring time!

We had a making room for baby sale on Saturday to clean out our closets and get rid of a bunch of junk! We were very successful and sold almost everything and the few things we didn't we took to Goodwill. I just had to post this picture of Ryan's yard sale sign he put up...one thing's for sure-nobody missed our yard sale! Who needs to advertise in the paper when you have a sign like that!!

New Furniture

We finally got our new bedroom furniture delivered last Tuesday and we are really enjoying it! We've never had much of anything for bedroom furniture since we've been married so we figured we better break down and buy some before the baby came and all of money goes toward diapers and fun baby things like that! I told our family I would post some pictures for them to check it out so this post is just for them.

Movin' and a Shakin'

I felt the baby move for the first time about a week ago! It was such the neatest feeling and I've been telling Ryan but I didn't know if he would be able to feel it. So last night we were in bed watching TV & after I had found the heartbeat with our doppler I just laid my hands on my belly to see if I could feel anything and sure enough after a few seconds baby started doing a jig so I grabbed Ryan's hand so he could feel it too. Ryan's face just lit up and he asked, "Was that it?" I said, "Yeah, that's your wild child!" He was too excited!

Today baby has been busy as a bee in there. Just sitting here at my desk I can feel him/her moving all around....I love it! God is so good and I'm truly thankful that He's blessed us with this little miracle. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers...they mean more than you'll ever know!

Happy Late Mother's Day!

So I'm a few days late but there are a few wonderful ladies that I wanted to wish a Happy Mother's Day to...

Mom-I'm truly blessed to have you in my life. Thanks for always being there and for all the many sacrifices you've made for us over the years. I admire you in so many ways and hope that I can make my children feel as special and loved as you have always made me feel. Thanks for answering all of my many questions about pregnancy and being a new mom...I couldn't imagine going through this wonderful experience with out you! You are going to be a wonderful Nana! : )

Patsy-Thanks for being such a wonderful mother-in-law! From the first time we met you've taken me in and treated me as one of your own....that has always meant so much to me! You are one of the most self-sacrificing, giving people that I've ever know. Thank you for your wonderful example and for raising such a fine man! Can't wait to make you a grandmother!

God has blessed Ryan and me with amazing grandmothers and we are so blessed to still have all of them here with us. Margaret, Mama Mac, Granny Guthrie, and Granny Horne we love you all and thank you for your Christian example in our lives.

Ryan made my Mother's Day very special...he bought me one of those Hallmark that you can record a message in and on the front it said something like, "My love with always be with you no matter where you are, Just listen to my heart and"...then I opened the card and he had recorded the baby's heartheat! It just melted my heart!! He's so sweet and good to me! Thanks for making my first Mother's day the BEST! I love you!

Ashley's Graduation Weekend!

We had a great weekend in Searcy for Ashley's graduation! It was so good to see family and friends! We are so proud of Ashley and all of his accomplishments...we can't wait to see what God has planned for his future! I am so blessed to have Ashley in my life and have such a wonderful relationship with him. We've come a long way from the days where we could barely sit next to each other in the car without fighting...I don't know how mom and dad made it through those years! Ashley--we love you and wish you the best of luck in all you do!

The Countdown Begins!

Wow! Time is just flying by! I can't believe on Wednesday I'll be 17 weeks along. We had our 4 month checkup on Friday and it went great! The Dr. found baby's heartbeat and even though I listen to it everyday with the doppler that Ryan bought me it never gets old! When the Dr. found the heartbeat the baby started moving around and she said, "Sounds like you've got a wild one!" I guess we'll see! She answered a few questions I had and we were on our way! We were in and out in 20 minutes...it doesn't get better than that! I am really please with my Dr. and all of the nurses at the office. They are the best! Ryan has been really impressed with them too!
We go back on May 30th to find out if it's a boy or a girl! YEAH!! Just 25 days to go and Ryan and I can hardly stand it! We are also anxious to find out what baby Hicks is on the 28th. That will be an exciting week for our family! God is so good and has truly blessed us!

After our appointment on Friday we headed to east TN to visit the Blount's. We had a wonderful relaxing weekend & really enjoyed the visit. Saturday morning we slept in and then headed to the movies after lunch to see Made of Honor. It was the first girly movie I'd seen in a while so I really enjoyed it! It was super cute. After the movie we made our first trip to Baby's R Us. It was a little overwhelming at first to say the least because the store was gigantic but it was fun to look around at all the cute baby stuff and get a few ideas for the baby's room. We just hung out on Saturday night & visited. I found the baby's heartbeat a few times over the weekend which the Blount's loved! Like I said before it never gets old!

We had a great weekend but like always it's never long enough. Now is back to the work week! Thankfully I just have 4 days this week because I'm taking Friday off to head out to Harding for Ashley's graduation on Saturday! I can't believe he's already been out there for 4 years! I'm looking forward to seeing friends and spending time with the family.

Hope you all have a great week! Thanks for checking in on us.
