Trip to Cracker Barrell

Sunday night after church we went with some friends and their girls to Cracker Barrell to eat. I was really exicted because we hadn't eaten there in a long time. The past few times we've gone out I've put Kinsey in a high chair and usually she does pretty good. She did great and enjoyed watching her friends Emily and Elizabeth. She also really like the biscuits!

Am I cute or what?!

Growing up too fast...

Such a big girl!!

Ready for the beach! I just love those rolls!!

Kinsey has a few new tricks that she started this week. She's been rolling over, sitting alone, and she finally found her feet! Yum, Yum! : )

Such a sweetheart!

Dr. Visit and Pictures!

Today Kinsey had her 6 month checkup and shots. She weighed in at 17 lbs 12 oz (81%) and 27 in long (88%). The doctor said she was doing great and was very "advanced" for her age!! : ) Well maybe I added the last part...but she is really smart! I asked him about her being so "healthy" as some people say and he said she's actually slim compared to how long she is which made me feel better. She's just going to be one tall gal...not sure where she gets that from!? All in all we had a great visit and she's right on target. We just praise God for such a healthy, happy baby!

Since I wasn't able to get any pics of Kinsey in her Easter dress with her basket I decided to take a few this past Sunday after church (since we wore the dress again to our church.) It was raining so I couldn't take them outside in the grass like I had planned but they still turned out cute!

What do you expect me to do with this thing mom??

oh, pretty tasty...or at least it feels good on my gums : )

Fun time with Daddy! It doesn't get better than that!

6 Months!

I know I say this every month but seriously where has the time gone?! Our sweet Kinsey Mae is already 6 months old! I can hardly believe it! I guess I better start planning a birthday party because it's going to be here before we know it whether I like it or not!! I couldn't have asked for a better, more easy going baby than Kinsey. She's such a sweetheart and blessing to our lives; I can't remember what life was like before her!

There are so many things I want to remember about her at this fun age. Here are just a few:

- She loves to smile! She smiles all the time!

- She's a great eater; she loves her cereal and baby food. As soon as she sees her spoon and bowl her little hands and feet get to moving---she knows what's coming!

-She sleeps well too! Usually I put her down for the night by 8:00pm, she wakes up around 5:00am and eats and we see Daddy off the work by 6:00, then we go back to bed for a few hours. I still have to get up a few times a night to put her pacifier back in but that's it!

-She finally grew out of being swaddled! Now I lay her down and she doses off to her Ocean Wonders musical aquarium with her fingers intertwined in her purple blanket.

-Which brings me to my next thing: She loves playing with/feeling my hair especially when she's tired. She'll also run her fingers through her hair when she's nursing.

-She gives the best kisses--nice and wet ones one the cheek! I love them! : )

-Lately she's been sticking her tounge out and blowing bubbles! It's too cute!

-She'll shake her head "no"...of course she doesn't have a clue what it means but we laugh so she keeps doing it and thinks it's funny : )

I'm not sure how much she's grown except ALOT! We go back to the Dr. on Tuesday and I'm really curious to see how long she is! It's almost time to move up to the next carseat...she's just about outgrown the one she's in! It's just so hard to believe that she's getting so big so fast! We just love her to pieces and can't get enough of our sweet baby girl!

Easter Weekend in Paris

We had a wonderful Easter weekend in Paris! Friday Kinsey and I rode with Callie over to Paris. She stayed with us a few days to help out with Kinsey due to my surgery last week. Ryan just met us there after work. In case you don't live with a hunter...it's turkey season so Ryan and Steve were planning on hunting Saturday morning, just like every Saturday morning during hunting season. Us girls are smart and decided to sleep in and then to go an Easter egg hunt at Gram's church. Kinsey had a great time even though she just tried to chew on the eggs. Once she got her first one that's all she was interested in! Sunday after church we ate a delicious meal with all of Ryan's family and really enjoyed visiting with everyone before heading back home. I only got one picture with Kinsey in her Easter dress with her basket...she wasn't cooperating after church so I had planned on taking a few after we ate but by that time she had spit up peaches all over it so maybe next year : )Hope you enjoy the pictures!

God is Good!

Thank you so much for all of your prayers! I definitely felt them this morning during my surgery. I made it through with flying colors and we got home around lunch time. Everything went smoothly and there's no doubt it was because all of the prayers lifted up on my behalf so thank you for remembering us. Kinsey did great for Gram and Grandpop...I think they had lots of fun today playing together!

Kinsey sneezed right as I put the spoon full of blueberries into her mouth. We had blueberries everywhere but she didn't seem to mind!

Pete sent Kinsey a letter in the mail...she wasn't sure what it said but she sure did like chewing on it!

Thanks again for your encouraging comments and prayers! They were greatly appreciated!

Prayer Request

Well we had a great week last week with mom and dad here! They left on Saturday morning and we already miss them lots! Friday we spent the day in Paris visiting with the Blounts and had lots of fun! The weather was wonderful this weekend...so nice and warm. I sat outside on Saturday and got some sun and it felt so good! I'm ready not to be pasty white! But last night the rain rolled in and today it's a balmy 40 degrees and I believe that the weather man is calling for snow flurries! What!? That's crazy TN weather for you! Did I mention I'm ready for warmer weather!?!

Anyway, on to more important things....please keep me and Kinsey in your prayers this week. I am having a little outpatient procedure on Wednesday morning and I'm a little nervous about being under anesthesia. Because of the anesthesia I won't be able to nurse Kinsey for 24 hours. She is taking a bottle now but we've not tried it for a whole day so hopefully it will go smoothly. On top of that she's got a little cold and an awful cough so she's not been feeling well at all. We would really appreciate if you would remember us in your prayers this week and especially on Wednesday! Thanks so much!
