Kinsey's 1st Night Away and New Swing

Last weekend Steve and Patsy called to see if they could come take us out to eat on Tuesday night. Callie was in town for her fall break and they were going to be over our way and wanted to stop by so of course we said yes! I had been thinking about letting Kinsey spend the night with them sometime during the week since Callie was there and doesn't get to see her very often. When they called and said they were coming our way I thought it would be the perfect time to see how she would do on her first over night trip away from home without us. After eating at O'Charley's we started saying our goodbye's and she could tell something was up and started crying, so I helped get her buckled in to Grandpop's truck and once they got Baby Einstein's playing she never knew I was gone! They said she did great and I think everyone had a ball, including me! I really enjoyed my 24 hours off...it was so nice knowing I could go to bed and get a full night's rest! I just had some "me" time on Wednesday and did a little shopping. The Blounts dropped Kinsey off at Ryan's work Wed afternoon and they got home around 4 pm. I thought she would be a little happier to see me than she was but she was more interested in playing with her toys! Maybe it was because every time I picked her up she was smothered in kisses : )

Below are just a few pics Callie sent me from her sleepover at Gram and Grandpop's

Too much playing will wear you out!
Talking with Mocha...they are best buds!

On Saturday Ryan worked on getting some lumber up so we could hang Kinsey's swing that she received from Uncle Ashley for her birthday. He made it big enough for us to hang a hammock too! He's such a handy man and does a great job anytime he builds something.

Busy at work...

Almost done...

Swing time! Whee!

Thanks Uncle Ashley and Rachel....I love my new swing!

Happy 1st Birthday Kinsey!!

Happy Birthday Kinsey! I've been thinking a lot over the past week what I was doing a year ago as we were preparing for Kinsey's birth and remembering her labor and delivery. I've looked back through all of the pictures we've taken of her over the past 12 months and I just can't believe that she's already 1! This past year has gone by faster than I ever could have imagined or been prepared for but Kinsey has brought us more joy that we've ever known! She has the sweetest, lovable little personality and we are just blessed beyond measure!

Brecken and Kinsey's 1st Birthday Bash!

We had a great weekend in Valdosta celebrating Kinsey and Brecken's 1st birthday! With the girls only being 3 days apart Melissa and I thought it would be fun to have a party together. Although I'm not sure the girls realized what was going on I think everyone else had a great time! Most of our family was able to be there so it was very special....we missed those of you who weren't able to make it! Melissa made some yummy soup and mom worked her magic and baked some delicious cakes! All in all the party was a success and I can't wait to see what this next year brings for these special little gals!

Making sure they looked good before their grand entrance!

"Mom!? What are you doing??"

It took Kinsey a few seconds to get the hang of eating her cake but once she did....she dug right in!

Yum, Yum!

Blowing kisses...

These are some of the other pics I took over the rest of the weekend. Saturday morning we went to Nashville, GA for the Guthrie reunion. It was really hot and humid and the gnats were horrible but we had a good time and it was good to see a lot of family I hadn't seen in a while. Kinsey enjoyed playing with Kayden and Brecken and all of the toys that were there. Even though there was a tarp on the ground, she was absolutely filthy by the time we left!

Sunday we went to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate Mom and Dad's 29th anniversary!

We turned Kinsey's car seat around for our trip home yesterday...Kinsey seemed excited about being able to face forward and see us!
We had a wonderful time but as always the trip just goes by too fast! We are so blessed to have such great family and so many people who love and care for us!
