Birthdays, Birthdays, and more Birthdays!

We got to celebrate several birthdays last week and have a few more to celebrate this next week! So here's the run down...

Happy Birthday to Pete! His birthday was last Tuesday and although we weren't able to celebrate with him in person we will be able to celebrate soon because he and Nana are coming to visit next week and we can hardly wait!

Callie's birthday was last Thursday and luckily she is on Spring Break so she came and spent some time with us last week. Kinsey ate it up; she absolutely adores her Aunt Callie!

Callie with the girls

Little Miss Khloe turned 4 months old last Friday! On Saturday we ate at the Loveless Cafe in Nashville for Callie and Ryan's birthday (which is this week.) The food was great and the company was even better!

Gram has a big birthday coming up and she's having a party on Saturday so we are looking forward to celebrating with her then!

Pictures!

I love Spring time! Today the weather was wonderful so we played outside after the girls woke up from their nap. Ryan and Pop having been busy building the girls a swing set. They are still working on it but the ladder and slide are up so Kinsey has been wearing it out!

Blowing bubbles...
Just a swingin'....Khloe loves being outside too!

Miss Attitude! She told me not to take her picture.

Happy girl...even on a bad hair day : )

Khloe is 3 months!

The past 3 months have flown by and our baby girl is growing like a little weed! I can hardly remember what life was like before Khloe came along! She has been such a blessing to our family and we just love her more than words can say!

Things Khloe's up to at 3 months:

-Her sweet little personality is starting to come out! It doesn't take too much to get a good smile and sometimes even a laugh! I absolutely love her big, gummy smiles...so sweet! She is usually pretty laid back and easy going but she will definitely let you know when she's hungry or tired!

-We are finally starting to get on somewhat of a schedule! YAY! It's been all over the place with her being sick and us traveling but now that things are settling down she's a little more predictable.

-She is sleeping really well at night! When she doesn't sleep through the night, I only have to get up once to nurse her and then it only takes us about 30 minutes for her to eat, for a diaper change and then to get back to sleep.

-Sleeping during the day is still hit or miss. Some days she will nap well and other days she wants to be held and wakes up almost every time I try to put her down! Oh well, she isn't going to be little long so I'm just going to enjoy these precious days!

-She likes to be swaddled with one arm out, usually her right arm. She sleeps so much better being swaddled but hates it when I try to swaddle both arms...I guess it's too confining for her? When trying to fall asleep, she likes to grab onto something...usually my shirt or finger.

-Khloe is going longer between feedings and is nursing every 3.5-4.5 hours so we're down to about 5 feedings a day!

-She weighs around 14 lbs.

-Her eyes are still blue but they have changed some and I think they are going to be brown. She has some lighter hair coming in and at first I thought it might all turn blonde like Kinsey's but I think it's going to stay brown. It will probably just be a little lighter than it is now!

-She LOVES her big sister! Kinsey can always get a smile out of her and can usually keep her entertained for a while! Khloe is always watching Kinsey and knows where she is at all times!

-We took tons of pictures of Kinsey when she was a baby and have a folder on our computer for each month for the first year of her life and well poor Khloe is being terribly neglected when it comes to pictures! (Being the 2nd child, now I understand why there aren't hardly any baby pictures of me!) We've maybe taken enough pictures of Khloe to fill up one of Kinsey's folders!!

We are so blessed to have such a beautiful, happy, healthy little girl and look forward to watching her grow and develop in the months to come!

The Best Medicine is Grandbabies!

The girls and I traveled to Valdosta last week to be there for mom's surgery. We hadn't seen them since Christmas so it was way past time for the girls to get some lovin' from Pete and Nana! Mom had a little time to spend with the girls before her surgery and soaked up every second of it! Her surgery went great and the biopsy of the mass they removed from her ovary came back benign! Praise God! We are so thankful that she is doing well and this is behind her. (I know she is too!) She does have about 5 more weeks of recovery so if you would keep her in your prayers, I would appreciate it! I am so glad I was able to be there for her to help out after she came home and I know the girls were good medicine for her but I'm positive that she's getting more rest now that we're back home and her house is much quieter : )

Kinsey LOVED, LOVED, LOVED playing with Kayden and Brecken! Every morning she would ask if she when she was going to get to see them! It was so much fun watching them play together because they are a mini version of Melissa, Terri and me when we were little!!
A huge thanks to Melissa who gave up her time to keep the girls so I could be at the hospital with Mom until she came home! Granny and Aunt Cathy helped out too and I really appreciate all of them taking such great care of my babies!

Dad was definitely out numbered by women last week but I'm pretty sure he loved every minute of it!
