3-D Ultrasound

Today I had my 32 weeks Dr. visit...all went well and everything is right on track. After the Dr. appointment we had an appointment to get a 3-D ultrasound done to see what our little girl looks like. I was a little worried that she might not cooperate but she did great! Although most of the time she kept her hands in front of her face we were still able to get a few peeks. She definitely loves to suck her thumb already....we caught her several times with her thumb in her mouth just sucking away! It was too cute! Looks like she's going to be a chunk....she's weighing about 5 pounds give or take a few ounces and you can see she's got some chunky cheeks going on. I just can't wait to kiss those fat cheeks! Hope you enjoy the pics! Have a great weekend!

She's thinking really hard on this one with her hand on her forehead : )

Blessed

Ryan and I are truly blessed to have so many friends and family that love us and care for us. I was humbled and absolutely amazed at everyone's generosity who came to the baby shower on Sunday that was given for us. We received more gifts than any one little girl could ever need! I will say that she'll definitely be the BEST dressed gal in TN, that's for sure! Melissa, Aunt Cathy, Aunt Connie, Aunt Bonnie and Granny Guthrie all hosted it for us and they did a fabulous job! Thanks for everything...you all are the BEST!
Me and mom
Melissa made the cutest diaper cake!

The cake was patterned after my nursery bedding.
It turned out so good and was delicious!

Ryan came to pick up all of the gifts so we could get on the road.
Isn't he too cute! : )

I think we finally got home around 11:00 pm Sunday night. We were both so tired and just ready to be home. Ryan drove the whole way which I really appreciated! What can I say...he's the best!

This is what the nursery looked like after unloading all of the gifts from the truck. There was hardly any room to walk around! I had fun sorting through all of the goodies and getting things organized...now all we need is a little girl! I know she'll be here before we know it! Only 9 weeks to go!

Weekend in Valdosta

Last Thursday afternoon I had my 30 week Dr. appointment. It went well and everything seems to be right on track. We're going back every 2 weeks now so we'll go back again next Friday. I can't believe we've just got a few more weeks left! After we finished up at the dr's office we got on the road and headed to Valdosta for the weekend. Friday morning Ryan was itching to get to the pond so he fished for most of the morning while me and Melissa shopped some. Friday night I went to Lindsay and Willis' wedding which was absoluetly beautiful! It was good to see lots of people I that haven't seen in a long time and get to catch up. Ryan decided to hang out with John instead of going to the wedding, who knows what they got in to!

Saturday I spent the day with mom and we did some more shopping and looked for some baby things. I always enjoy getting to spend time with her especially since we live so far apart! We got together with family and friends at a cookout Saturday afternoon in honor of Janey. I can't believe it's already been a year since she was with us. What a special little girl that touched so many lives in her short time. We love you Janey and can't wait to see you again someday!! Uncle Jim and John made a slip and slide for the kiddos which they absolutely loved! Shephard and Kayden couldn't get enough of it!

Below are some pictures of our fun times!!
Kayden and Shephard waiting to go!

This picture was too funny not to post....Ryan keeping the tarp wet. I believe he's holding the water hose...at least I hope so!

Weekend with the Girls!

Friday I worked half a day and then hit the road for a weekend with the girls in Searcy. One of my roommates from Harding is getting married so we had a lingerie shower for her and I figured it would be the last time I would be able to see them before our baby girl comes. It was so good to see them all and get to catch up. They are so much fun and most of the time we just sit around and laugh. God has truly blessed my life with them and I could not thank Him enough for the friendships that we share. They all surprised me and had a laundry basket full of baby things which was much appreciated! I couldn't even begin to list everything because there was so many goodies! Thanks guys! You're the best!

Not only did I get to see great friends but some of my favorite family too! Ashley treated me and Terri to Chili's on Friday night...what a sweet brother! And Terri was gracious to let me stay with her all weekend and as usual I enjoyed the visit.

While I was off for the weekend Ryan stayed here and worked on the nursery. My in-laws Steve and Patsy picked up our baby furniture Friday afternoon and delivered it to the house. They stayed Friday night and Steve helped Ryan on Saturday put the white wainscoting and trim around the bottom of the nursery then they put the furniture together and got the room all set up. Needless to say I was surprised when I got home last night to find a nursery!! Now all we need is a little girl!! I've still got some decorating to do but when I get it done then I'll put some pictures up.

28 Weeks and 20 lbs!!

Yesterday we made a trip to Nashville for my 28 week appointment which went well. I had to take the glucose tolerance test for them to check my sugar but other than that it was pretty uneventful beside the fact that we've officially hit the 20 lb mark! I told Ryan that I hope this weight comes off as easily as I'm putting it on. I know that probably won't be the case but we'll just deal with it when the time comes. My sweet husband said that I carry 20 lbs very well....it will be interesting to see what he says when I reach the 30 lb mark! I'm sure he'll think of something sweet to say even if he doesn't exactly mean it! Anything to keep a pregnant woman happy right?!

Thanks for the advise from the last post. It was greatly appreciated! I wouldn't hold your breath for a name...I have a feeling we might be hearing in October "Mr. & Mrs. Blount we have to have a name for your baby girl before you can leave the hospital." : ) Hopefully not but I'm afraid that's what it's going to come to! We're in no rush though -I know we'll find one that fits her perfectly!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

New Baby Must Have's...

Hi blogging friends I need a little help....Ryan and I went to register last week for an upcoming baby shower and I realized that we have no clue what we need or what we're doing for that matter!! So that's where you all come in....what are some things that you would recommend for a new baby or mom or things that have worked for you and your little one?? Any advise or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

We've not been up to too much the last few weeks. We have started to work on the nursery but it's definitely a work in progress. We've picked out some furniture so it's on the way. All in all things are coming together slowly but surely. It's hard to believe that she'll be here in less than 3 months! I'm starting to get a little antsy about getting everything done in time...I know we still have plenty of it but I just keep thinking if she comes early we're not going to be ready!! I'm still feeling great and plan on working as long as I can...I figure I'd get stir crazy sitting at home! We go for our 28 week checkup on Thursday and I'll have to take the sugar test so we're just praying that things continue to keep going well. God has truly blessed us and we are so thankful for all He's given us.

Hope you all have a great week! And thanks in advance for all of your wonderful advise! You guys are the best!

Weekend in Valdosta

Dad and Ryan cleaning fish
Aaron's BIG catch!
Aren't those the best looking fishermen you've ever seen!?
Me and Ryan

Thursday afternoon after I got off work me, Ryan and Ashley headed for Valdosta. (Ashley drove over from Searcy on Thursday morning.) Our trip was going great, traffic wasn't too bad considering it was a holiday weekend, and we were making pretty good time. Well about midnight we stopped on the Macon bypass to gas up and so I could pee again! We were all set to get back on the interstate when Ryan's truck started acting up. We drove around a little it started acting better so back on the interstate we go only to make it to the next exit. Let's just say I have never been more thankful to get off the interstate in my life. I know at one point we were going like 30 on the interstate and that's all the truck would do!! Not fun! So needless to say we coasted into the first hotel parking lot and spent the night there. Dad and mom came and got us on Friday morning and we hauled the truck back to Valdosta only to find that the transmission is shot and we need a new one! Luckily some wonderful friends of ours were going out of town for the rest of the month and let us borrow their car to come back home. We'll just take their car back and pick up the truck when we go home in Valdosta for a baby shower. All in all everything worked out as well as it could have so we're thankful for that.

Friday night we grilled out and just hung out around the house with all the family. Mom had found some baby pictures and baby things of mine so it was neat to look through everything. It's hard to believe that I'll have my own little girl in just 3 months! Saturday me, mom and Granny went shopping for a while the guys went fishing. Since the guy's trip to the pond went so well we had a fish fry on Saturday night with homemade ice cream for dessert. It was all very yummy! Sunday, we went to church and stayed around the house for a lazy afternoon. We got to visit with Melissa, John and Kayden Sunday night which was nice. We always enjoy spending time with them! Monday, we headed back home after a wonderful weekend! It's always great to go home and visit with our friends and family. Our time their just never lasts long enough!

Oh yeah--just a side note...I do realize that the date is off on our pictures but Ryan will have to fix that because I'm not too sure how to! I'm sure I could figure it out but it would probably take me an hour where it would take him 2 seconds to have it done so why even try, right!? Hope you enjoyed all 2 pictures...I've got to get better at having my camera with me so I can take more pictures!
