SOLD!

Since we bought our 1st house 5 1/2 years ago our family has doubled in size and along with 2 precious girls has come more toys and little girl clothes than any little one could possibly need! Ryan and I had been talking about looking for something a little bigger for a while and finally decided to take the plunge last August and put our house on the market. After 6 LONG months on the market we finally received an offer and had a contract on our house! So last weekend we moved into a rental house and closed on our house Tuesday! YAY!

Tuesday March 27, 2012

I'm not going to lie, Ryan and I were both a little sentimental walking through our empty house Monday night remembering all of the good times we've had and hard work we've put into that little house! God blessed our family and our home there and we are looking forward to using our new home for His glory!

Speaking of our new home, we finally found a house under construction that was exactly what we were looking for but it already had a contract on it. After talking to the builder, we decided to have him build one just like it for us! It should be ready in July and we are super excited!

The framing is under way!

Last Saturday after spending all day moving the rest of our stuff, Ryan told me he wanted to do something fun (Gram, Pop and Aunt Callie had the girls) so we grabbed a BBQ sandwich and tailgated at our future house while watching the sun go down! It was fun walking around and dreaming about our new place; there's no one else I'd rather dream with! : )

I'm am really hoping to get back into blogging since I don't have to keep a house spotless for showings anymore so check back again soon!

Khloe's 1st Haircut

Last week I took the girls to get thier hair trimmed. It was Khloe's first real haircut and she did great! I knew she wouldn't have a care in the world once she had her sucker and sure enough she didn't disappoint me!

Not too sure at first...

How about a little drool with that sucker!

Lookin' good

Such a big girl!

I didn't really get a before and after but Dana just straightened up the back. This was after we had baths that night! If only she was as innocent as she looks here!!

Christmas 2011 Recap

so I told myself I wasn't going to get behind again but well....here we are a week into the new year and I'm just now getting my Christmas pictures up so this is going to be a quick recap of all of our Christmas festivities!

Thursday, December 22:
Ryan's Christmas vacation officially began and we headed to Paris to spend a few days with the Blounts! We loved hanging out and being lazy.

Saturday, December 24th:
After a delicious Christmas Eve breakfast, we opened gifts and enjoyed watching the girls play with all of their new things! As always, Gram and Pop did way too much!

We traveled back home Christmas Eve afternoon so we could get everything ready for Santa!

Sunday, December 25th--Christmas morning!

The only thing Kinsey asked Santa for was a baby that went to sleep (one whose eyes close) and a bed to rock her in. She must have been a pretty good little girl because she got just what she wanted!

Seeing her baby for the first time!

Khloe trying out her big girl chair with her swollen, sleepy eyes! Evidently she didn't get the memo that Santa was coming because we had to wake her up so we could open presents!

All ready for church on Christmas morning!

After worship services we changed clothes and headed south to spend a week in GA with Pete and Nana! Kinsey was so excited to see Kayden and Brecken : ) We had a good trip but were so glad to finally get off the road. Ashley had made it in the night before we were excited to get to see him too!

Monday, December 26th: Christmas at Pete and Nana's

Aaron, Gena, and Ella came over for breakfast and then we opened gifts! It was so fun to watch the girls together and just all be together....that's very rare these days!

Ella's wagon was a big hit!

Introducing Dr. Kinsey : )

For lunch on Monday everyone came to mom and dad's for the Guthrie family Christmas! Since everybody was there we took a family picture...all 28.5 of us!

Cousins and spouses

Granny and Papa and their great grand daughters!

All sweet little girls and another one on the way!

the handsome Horne fellows

Tuesday, December 27th: Christmas with Granny Horne and Hobe

Tuesday evening Granny and Hobe made a delicious Christmas meal and we celebrated with them and opened gifts! I know Granny enjoyed watching the girls run around, giggle, and squeal but I think by the end of the night she was ready for some quite! : )

Papa and Ella Bella

We spent the whole week between Christmas and New Year's at mom and dad's and besides all of us being under the weather with the crud we had a great time! Every morning when Kinsey got up the first thing she asked was if she could go play with Kayden and Brecken : )

She LOVED being with them! We had a great Christmas and like always Santa spoiled us but the best part was just being able to spend it with our families! We are so blessed and are looking forward to seeing what great things God has planned for us in 2012!

Christmas with Mac

Last night we celebrated Christmas with Mac at the nursing home! Patsy rounded everybody up so Mac could enjoy all of his kids, grand kids and the great-grands at the same time! While he didn't say alot, I think he really enjoyed seeing everyone and watching the kids play! They definitely kept us entertained : )

Breakfast with Santa

A few weeks ago we had the privilege of eating breakfast with Santa at church! Kinsey was so excited about getting to see Santa that is until he actually arrived! : )

Kinsey's snowman picture frame

It's SANTA! I love the look on both of thier faces : )

Trying to talk Kinsey into sitting in Santa's lap.....it didn't work!

but Khloe did and wasn't phased at all!

After we were done taking pics of Khloe and Santa I took her to the nursery for a diaper change and Kinsey went with us. As soon as we got through the door Kinsey looked at me and asked very seriously, "Mama, is that really Santa or is that Emily's daddy?" Umm, umm what? You're 3 three years old! You're not supposed to be smart enough to figure that out!!! So I had to explain that Santa is really busy and needs some helpers this time of year so he sent Mr. Chris a letter asking Mr. Chris to come to our party for him! That seemed to be a good enough explaination so maybe it will buy us a year or two! I have a feeling we're not going to be able to pull anything over on her!

After she knew it was Mr. Chris she was more than happy to go sit in his lap! And look even a 1/2 smile!

So much for trying to get both of them to smile at the same time!

These days I'll take what I can get!

CHEESE!

Trying to get a picture in front of Gram's tree....Khloe had different plans! Lil' stinker!

Aunt Callie's the coolest and brought a tree for Kinsey to decorate! I'm not sure who had more fun putting the stickers on : )

More Christmas posts to come...
