Christmas with Mac
Last night we celebrated Christmas with Mac at the nursing home! Patsy rounded everybody up so Mac could enjoy all of his kids, grand kids and the great-grands at the same time! While he didn't say alot, I think he really enjoyed seeing everyone and watching the kids play! They definitely kept us entertained : )

Breakfast with Santa
A few weeks ago we had the privilege of eating breakfast with Santa at church! Kinsey was so excited about getting to see Santa that is until he actually arrived! : )
Kinsey's snowman picture frame
It's SANTA! I love the look on both of thier faces : )
Trying to talk Kinsey into sitting in Santa's lap.....it didn't work!
but Khloe did and wasn't phased at all!
After we were done taking pics of Khloe and Santa I took her to the nursery for a diaper change and Kinsey went with us. As soon as we got through the door Kinsey looked at me and asked very seriously, "Mama, is that really Santa or is that Emily's daddy?" Umm, umm what? You're 3 three years old! You're not supposed to be smart enough to figure that out!!! So I had to explain that Santa is really busy and needs some helpers this time of year so he sent Mr. Chris a letter asking Mr. Chris to come to our party for him! That seemed to be a good enough explaination so maybe it will buy us a year or two! I have a feeling we're not going to be able to pull anything over on her!
After she knew it was Mr. Chris she was more than happy to go sit in his lap! And look even a 1/2 smile!

Khloe's 1st Birthday!
Khloe turned 1 the day after Thanksgiving so we partied out 1 year old style with cake and presents then a nap! : ) Our sweet, spunky baby girl is growing daily and changing far too quickly from a baby to a little girl which this mama is not ready for! We had a great time celebrating Khloe and are so thankful to God for blessing us with a healthy little gal that brings us so much joy!
Thanksgiving 2011
We had a rather uneventful Thanksgiving this year compared to last year when Khloe decided to make her debut! And while I wouldn't trade our spunky little girl for anything I was glad to spend the holiday at home! We hosted Thanksgiving this year at our house which was nice because we not only got to spend time with family but we didn't do any traveling! They all came to us and we appreciated that! We are so very blessed and I will forever be grateful to a most wonderful, loving God who continually blesses me and my family!
Callie had the week off so her and Jenny(a college friend) came to see us, or should I say the girls! : ) It took all of about 1 minute for Kinsey to warm up to Jenny and entertain everybody the rest of the afternoon!
Pete and Nana came on Monday night and Kinsey was so excited to see them...I was too : ) It had been over 8 weeks since our last visit so they couldn't wait to see the girls either! They got to spend all week with us. We really enjoyed having them and I know they soaked up every minute with Kinsey and Khloe!
Building a princess castle : )
Nana and Kinsey baked some peppernuts!
Don't you just love her baking outfit!
Shirt - pants + pink slipper boots = the perfect baking attire!

Thanksgiving Day we enjoyed smoked turkey, ham and all the fixin's! Ryan's gotten into smoking meat lately and wanted to try to smoke the turkey this year. I was all for it because it meant I didn't have to fool with the thing!! He went all out and brined it, rubbed it down in a homemade butter rub, and then babysat it on the smoker for about 6 hours! It was so moist and tender and absolutely DELICIOUS!
Ryan and his turkeyHope you all had a great Thanksgiving too!
