The BIG 3-0!!

My wonderful husband Ryan turned 30 yesterday! I would say that I didn't give him a hard time but that wouldn't be true! He took it pretty well & just reminded me that paybacks aren't very much fun sometimes so I quit! We started his birthday celebration on Friday night. His parents came into town and took us out to Outback to eat for his birthday & then we later we had birthday cake with all 30 candles! Saturday was opening day of turkey season so Ryan and his dad went hunting and Patsy, Callie & I went over to Paris, TN to visit with his grandmothers. We had a great visit & spent the night there and went to church with them Sunday. We had a wonderful weekend & I think Ryan had a great birthday!

I can't post an entry for Ryan's birthday without bragging on the amazing husband that God has blessed me with. I truly feel like the luckiest woman in the world to be Ryan's wife....he is my best friend & soul mate. I love the way he can always make me laugh & knows exactly what to say to make things better. He gives the BEST hugs and kisses & takes such great care of me. Ryan works so hard for our family and takes lots pride in his work. I am thankful that God has blessed Ryan with a great career that will allow me to stay at home with our little one in just a few months. It's something that I've always dreamed about and he's excited that I'll get to do just that! There's no doubt in my mind that he's going to be a great dad! I never thought when Ryan and I married that life with him could be so much fun!! It's definitely been an adventure & I'm blessed to have such an awesome man to share life with. I love you & look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with you!!
**Baby Blount news**
I've been feeling great...just a little tired but that's to be expected I guess. Our next Dr's appointment is on Friday so I'll update then with any new news. Hopefully I'll get some belly pics up soon....I'm definitely coming along in that area!
Thanks for keeping up with us! Hope you all have a great week!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Yesterday was my dad's 49th birthday and I just wanted to take a minute to brag on my amazing daddy! My dad, Mike, is one of the hardest working, most self-sacrificing, loving men I know. He's the kind of man that would do anything for anybody and not expect a single thing in return. I've always been a daddy's girl so we share a very special relationship expecially since I'm the only girl. Growing up I can remember whenever just the two of us were out in town he would always swing by Dairy Queen to get me an icecream cone. It was all the little things like that he did over the years that made many wonderful memories. The thing I appreciate most about my dad is the Christian home that him & mom raised us in and I am forever grateful to them for teaching us God's word & raising us in the church. I feel truly blessed to have such an awesome dad & know that not everyone is as lucky as I am! I look forward to celebrating many more with you! I love you!

Introducing Baby BLOUNT!

Well with baby Blount on the way I figured I better give this blogging thing a try so I can keep all of our wonderful friends and family updated with the latest and greatest about our little miracle from God!

Our first Dr.'s appointment was on Friday and everything went very well. The baby is due October 15th! We were so pleased with the ultrasound pictures because we were just expecting to see a round blob but when the nurse pointed out the little arms and legs & seeing the baby's heart beat ticking away it just melted my heart! I got a little teary eyed but held it together. I wish I could have captured the look on Ryan's face....it was precious. Three pregnancy test definitely confirmed that I was pregnant but nothing like seeing our baby on the ultrasound monitor for the first time! I'll never forget it! Wow--I feel like I already sound like a mom!

We've been waiting to tell all of our friends until after we had seen the Dr. so we finally shared our news at church yesterday and with our co-workers today which has been lots of fun!

I guess that's all for now. Thanks for checking in on us. Bear with me as I try to get this blogging thing figured out. Stay tuned for belly pictures...I know many of you have asked for one but I promise there's not much to see right now!
