Thanksgiving 2009

I realize this post is a little late but better late than never right!? We had a great Thanksgiving in Valdosta with my family. Everyone got to come home for the holidays so that made it all the better especially since we won't be traveling for Christmas and get to see everyone then! We spent most of our time just hanging out, visiting and eating lots of yummy food! Dad and Ryan hit the fishing pond a few times and were so successful we had a delicious fish fry Friday night. Kinsey enjoyed playing with Kayden and Brecken and getting tons of attention from everyone else! As always, our time at home was just too short! Below are just a few of the many pictures I took during the holiday...thanks to Terri for the first 2 pics!

I think just about everyone read to Kinsey at one point or another. Kinsey loves to read her books so she ate it up!

Since we won't be seeing Aaron and Gena or Ashley and Rachel for Christmas we went ahead and had Christmas with them while we were home. We had all gone in together to get Dad some new boat seats for his boat so we decided to give them to him.

Rachel made all of the guys their very own camo aprons! They were a big hit!

Catching up...

Has it really been a whole month since I last posted? Where has the time gone?? We stayed pretty busy in November spending almost every weekend in Paris with Gram and Grandpop. Ryan and Steve lease some land in Paris to hunt on so they stayed busy hunting while Kinsey, Gram and I have had a great time hanging out! We got to spend Thanksgiving in Valdosta with my family and enjoyed every minute of it but that will have to be another post when I have more time! Here are a few pictures from the past few weekends in Paris.

Such a cutie!

Our weekends would not be complete without watching a little UT football and as you can tell Kinsey's ready to cheer them on when they make a touchdown!

An afternoon nap is always a must for both Ryan and Kinsey!

Rocking with Gram...

Ryan has done well this hunting season and killed 2 deer so far, both 7-point bucks! I'm excited that he's had a good year but more excited about filling the freezer back up! We love us some deer meat! : )

Funny Pics!

These were are few pics that I've taken over the past few weeks and were just too funny not to post! Kinsey is pretty much wearing 18 month clothes. The pants fit in the waist but are still a little long so most days I spend pulling her pants up so she doesn't trip on them. I had just hiked them up and her little expression was just too cute! Evidently she doesn't realize how nerdy she looks! : )

Just a little bit upset...

Kinsey's latest thing is to push her "babies" all over the house. She likes to see how many she can pile on to take for a ride!
Hope you all have a great weekend! Opening day of deer season starts tomorrow so we are going to Gram and Grandpop's so the guys can go hunting! Maybe they'll have some luck!

Homecoming at Harding and Halloween!

Friday we packed up and headed for good ole' Searcy! Ryan and I were both excited about making the trip back to Harding to see old friends and see all the new changes on campus and around town. It's always good to go back and reminisce; we both have lots of good memories there and of course it's where we met and dated so we spent a lot of the weekend remembering those fun times. Terri put us up for the weekend and we really enjoyed visiting with her and catching up. Saturday morning I had a Delta Gamma Rho reunion so Ryan and Kinsey walked around campus while I got to catch up with some girl friends.

Me, Shaya and Allison at the reunion

Then we met Terri at Colton's for lunch. (You can't visit Searcy and not eat at Colton's!) We got to see more friends at the game and Harding won so that was good! Kinsey made it into the second quarter before she needed to take a nap so we went back to Terri's to rest up for Trunk or Treating.

After the game, we dressed Kinsey up in her UT Cheerleading outfit and went trick or treating. She did great but was more interested in watching the other kids than getting candy for me and Ryan, I mean her of course! : ) We did let her have a DumDum which she loved!

YUM YUM!

Sunday we went to church with Mark and Allison before leaving town. And then on the way home we stopped by Mac and Holly's house. Mac played football with Ryan at HU and we hadn't seen them since our wedding 4 1/2 years ago. We got to meet Easton, their 3 year old little boy and they got to meet Kinsey. We really enjoyed our visit but it was just too short!

Kinsey's 1st Night Away and New Swing

Last weekend Steve and Patsy called to see if they could come take us out to eat on Tuesday night. Callie was in town for her fall break and they were going to be over our way and wanted to stop by so of course we said yes! I had been thinking about letting Kinsey spend the night with them sometime during the week since Callie was there and doesn't get to see her very often. When they called and said they were coming our way I thought it would be the perfect time to see how she would do on her first over night trip away from home without us. After eating at O'Charley's we started saying our goodbye's and she could tell something was up and started crying, so I helped get her buckled in to Grandpop's truck and once they got Baby Einstein's playing she never knew I was gone! They said she did great and I think everyone had a ball, including me! I really enjoyed my 24 hours off...it was so nice knowing I could go to bed and get a full night's rest! I just had some "me" time on Wednesday and did a little shopping. The Blounts dropped Kinsey off at Ryan's work Wed afternoon and they got home around 4 pm. I thought she would be a little happier to see me than she was but she was more interested in playing with her toys! Maybe it was because every time I picked her up she was smothered in kisses : )

Below are just a few pics Callie sent me from her sleepover at Gram and Grandpop's

Too much playing will wear you out!
Talking with Mocha...they are best buds!

On Saturday Ryan worked on getting some lumber up so we could hang Kinsey's swing that she received from Uncle Ashley for her birthday. He made it big enough for us to hang a hammock too! He's such a handy man and does a great job anytime he builds something.

Busy at work...

Almost done...

Swing time! Whee!

Thanks Uncle Ashley and Rachel....I love my new swing!

Happy 1st Birthday Kinsey!!

Happy Birthday Kinsey! I've been thinking a lot over the past week what I was doing a year ago as we were preparing for Kinsey's birth and remembering her labor and delivery. I've looked back through all of the pictures we've taken of her over the past 12 months and I just can't believe that she's already 1! This past year has gone by faster than I ever could have imagined or been prepared for but Kinsey has brought us more joy that we've ever known! She has the sweetest, lovable little personality and we are just blessed beyond measure!

One year ago....
