Blount Birthday Bash at Patti's

Tonight we met the Blount's at Patti's 1880 Settlement in Grand Rivers, KY to celebrate Callie, Ryan, and Patsy's birthday. Callie's birthday was March 24th, Ryan's was this past Monday on the 30th, and Patsy's is Sunday so we had lots to celebrate! Ryan and I had heard lots of great things about Patti's but had never been so it was a real treat! It had the neatest atmosphere and the food was out of this world! Kinsey had a blast walking around after dinner and playing on the play ground! Thanks again Steve and Patsy for such a great time!

The cool Flower Pot Bread! They serve it with strawberry butter...yum, yum!

Ryan ordered the 2" pork chop...I opted for the 1" and it was delicious!
Kinsey ate a little of everything!

Like father....

Weeeee! She loved sliding!

Our week at Pete and Nana's

Kinsey and I got to spend last week in Valdosta with Pete and Nana! My cousin Austin got married last Saturday so we decided to take full advantage and go a few days early to see everyone! We had a blast hanging out with friends and family and lovin' on sweet baby Ella! Ashley and Terri made the long trip too so it was nice to have everyone at home together! Here are some pics from our week...(p.s. if some of them look familiar they probably are...I stole a few off of Melissa and Terri's blogs!)

Kinsey loved having someone to play with!

Our little pianist

A couple of weekends ago Ryan worked up in the attic to organize all of our "stuff." He built shelves to put the tubs on and as you can see it looks so much better! I don't think he was very happy when I told him I have 2 more tubs full of Kinsey clothes to go up!! Oh well that's what attics are for, right!?

Bad Blogger...

So last night my wonderful husband asked me for the 2nd time in a week when I was going to update our blog?? He told me if I would wait just a few more days it would be a whole month since the last post! I ever so nicely told him that he had something that was so blog worthy he was more than welcome to update it himself! : ) It really didn't take Ryan reminding me to realize that I haven't blogged in a while but I haven't taken hardly any pictures lately and we haven't really been up to much of anything so therefore no new updates....sorry to all 2 of my loyal readers!

We've been doing good just not been up to a lot...it's still cold here so we are really ready for warmer weather! Kinsey is growing like a little weed and learning new things everyday! I'm just amazed at how quickly she picks up on things. She knows over 20 signs now and is so cute doing them! Despite the fact that she's got her 4 top front teeth coming in at the same time she seems to be happy. We are trying to limit Lammie Pie and her passy to bed/nap time so when she gets up she know they have to stay in the bed....most of the time she does pretty well with it but occasionally she has a hard time departing with them. I love it now that she's walking! She is my little helper and wants to help me do whatever I am doing. She will usually follow simple commands, "Go pick this up. Go put that back."...that kind of thing. She knows where I keep the measuring cups so when I unload the dishwasher she's enjoys putting those up! My favorite thing about her walking is when she comes up and wraps her little arms around my legs and gives me a hug...so sweet!

We are looking forward to going home at the end of March for my cousin Austin's wedding. It is definitely time to see everyone again...especially baby Ella and Pete and Nana too! I'll try to post again before April rolls around : ) If it gets to be a week or two don't worry I've got someone here to remind me! Love you babe!

I just snapped these pics to put on here! Isn't she getting so big!

All Grown Up!

This past weekend we headed west to help my little brother, Ashley, move to Jonesboro, AR. He's been in Houston for about a year and a half working for a medical device sales company and was offered a sales position at the end of last year in Jonesboro. Of course we were really excited because Jonesboro is a whole lot closer to us than Houston so hopefully we'll get to see more of each other! Although Ashley has technically been on his own for a while now it became real to me this weekend while we helped him get settled into his new townhouse! He's all grown up and not the bratty brother on some days I thought I might kill! I'm amazed that mom and dad didn't kill US the way we fought when we were little but it's funny how time changes things and how I wouldn't trade him for anything! (About 12 years ago that probably would have been a different story!haha) I love him and I'm so very proud of all he has accomplished with the talents God's blessed him with!

When we got there Thursday night he already had everything unpacked so Friday we helped him hang curtains and some pictures. It's amazing how hanging just a few things on the walls made the place look so much more homey! Terri came up and spent most of the day with us and it was so good to see her and get to catch up for a little while! Ryan and Ashley were hanging pictures and things on the wall so I jokingly told Ashley, "Just give me and Terri your credit card and we'll go get some more things to decorate the place!" Surprisingly, I guess he trusted us and handed over his card! We found a rug, curtain and few other things to tie everything together and didn't end of spending too much of his money! I took a few pictures while we were working but then forgot to take a picture after we were done...maybe Terri did. He has a really nice bachelor pad to be proud of!

Hanging the living room curtains
Kinsey didn't want to cooperate and get her picture taken but I just thought it was too cute of Ashley! He got called in to go to a surgery as we were packing up to leave Saturday morning that's why he's in his scrubs. We had a great time even though it was a short trip! We love you, Ashley, and are so proud of you! Good luck with your new position...we know you'll do great!
